Bahian singer Ivete Sangalo, who will present a mix of Brazilian music alongside Alexandre Pires, highlighted the hospitality of the Brazilian people. “I'm honoured to sing in the final and in my country. Colombian singer Shakira will sing the song "Dare” alongside Brazilian singer Carlinhos Brown. This will be her third appearance in World Cups, an event that is part of several important moments in the artist's life. “Football has changed my life in many different ways. I will never forget that I met the love of my life in 2010. Being here has enormous significance. We bring our hope and patriotism, which it intensifies, and football awakens the most sublime and noble feelings," she exalted, referring to her husband Gerard Piqué from the Spain national team.
“Brazil is different from South Africa, but the two countries have similar roots. Brazil is a beloved country. I love this country passionately. Since the beginning of my career, Brazilians fans were the ones who supported me the most. I learned Portuguese before learning English. I have so many dear friends here, so this is my second home. I'm excited and looking forward to the presentation tomorrow”.
Finally, Carlos Santana and Wyclef Jean will be playing and singing the official anthem of the World Cup, "We will find a way”.
The 32 teams participating in the World Cup will be represented at the ceremony, with highlight to finalists Germany and Argentina. There will also be a presentation by samba school Acadêmicos do Grande Rio.
