The events planned for the Pantanal Arena are confirmed, including two matches to be used as test events by FIFA

The Extraordinary Secretariat for the 2014 FIFA World Cup of the state of Mato Grosso (SECOPA-MT) would like to clarify that the Pantanal Arenal did not suffer structural damage as a result of the fire on 25 October 2013, as published by news agency Reuters this Sunday (16 February).

The visit of the engineer mentioned in the article, who wrote the report for the Federal Prosecution Services, took place in November last year, before the repair work was done.

After inspecting the area hit by the fire, all necessary repairs were conducted, followed by concentrated load and resistance tests on the structures. The assessments were carried out by engineers who are experts on structural calculation.

The reports submitted by the company in charge of construction works at the Pantanal Arena - Concremat Engenharia e Teconologia S.A – to SECOPA-MT guarantee that there is no structural damage.

SECOPA-MT would like to inform that events planned for the Pantanal Arena are confirmed, including two matches to be used as test events by FIFA: a Brazil Cup game between Mixto and Santos, plus Luverdense versus Vasco da Gama, a Brazilian Championship Serie B match.
