Scolari announces the names of the 23 players who will play for Brazil in the Confederations Cup

On 15 June, Brazil takes to the pitch in the Confederations Cup opening match against Japan in Brasilia

Photo: Glauber Queiroz/World Cup Portal#Brazil manager Luiz Felipe Scolari announced the 23 players for the Confederations Cup 2013. The names were unveiled in a press conference in a hotel in Rio de Janeiro.

On 27 May, the players will arrive in Rio de Janeiro, where they will train for Brazil’s next friendly on 2 June. Their opponents will be England and the match will serve as a FIFA test event for the Maracanã.

From Rio, the team will travel to Goiânia on 3 June. The capital city of the state of Goiás will be Brazil’s training venue until 12 June, when the delegation goes to Brasilia. During this time, Brazil has a friendly against France on 9 June, at the Gremio Arena in Porto Alegre.

On 15 June, Brazil takes to the pitch in the Confederations Cup opening match against Asian Champion Japan at the National Mané Garrincha Stadium.
