The first match to be played at the Amazonia Arena will see Nacional-AM take on Remo-PA on 9 March. The match is the Green Cup quarter-final and is scheduled for 07:30pm on Sunday. Twenty thousand tickets will be available, thirteen thousand through online sales and another seven thousand allocated to workers who helped build the stadium and their families. Tickets will cost R$ 100 for the VIP area and R$ 50 for all the other sectors.
“It’s more than fair that those who built the ground be the first to watch a match at the arena", stated the state governor Omar Aziz. He also stated that part of the box office (approximately R$ 246 thousand) will be donated to philanthropic institutions.
As it is the first test event at the Amazonia Arena, only the lower ring will be used, in addition to the boxes, which will be available for the press.
Over the next few days, the company in charge of the construction works will put up the signs for the access ways. Around 300 volunteers from the Amazonas State University will provide fans with directions during the first match, as well as offering other types of information.
En los próximos días, la empresa responsable por la obra va a trabajar en la señalización de los accesos. Cerca de 300 voluntarios de la Universidad del Estado de Amazonas van a orientar a los aficionados durante el primer partido y actuarán en servicios diversos.
