London 2012: Brazil beats New Zealand 3-1 and qualifies first in their group

With goals from Danilo and Leandro Damião in the first half and Sandro in the second, Brazil finished the first round winning all their matches

Brazil’s Olympic football team beat New Zealand 3-0 this Wednesday morning (01.08), in Newcastle, England. The result means Brazil finished top of Group C, winning all their matches.  The team finished the first round with an average of three goals scored and one conceded per match. Their opponents in the quarter-final will be Honduras.

The goals were scored by Danilo and Leandro Damião in the first half and Sandro in the second.

In the other match of the group, Egypt beat Belarus 3-1 and qualified for the next stage.
