Kaka and Diego Costa are the two new names to be called up for Brazil

Brazil will play Italy and Russia in March

Photo: Mowapress#This Tuesday, (05.03) Brazil’s manager Luiz Felipe Scolari (Big Phil) announced the names of the players for the friendlies to be played in March. The two new names are Kaka (photo) from Real Madrid and the first ever call-up for Diego Costa, from Atletico Madrid. Ronaldinho, who had been called up last time, was left out.

The first match will be played on 21 March against Italy, in Geneva Switzerland. The second game will be against Russia, at Stamford Bridge stadium in London England, on the 25th.

On 6 February, Brazil started their 2013 season with a friendly against England, losing 2-1 at Wembley Stadium in London, in front of a crowd of over 87 thousand people. After the two matches in March, Brazil plays Chile on 24 April at the Mineirão, in Belo Horizonte. The match will be used as the stadium’s official test event before the FIFA Confederations Cup Brazil 2013.
