With the aim of improving how tourists are treated, the federal government has developed many strategies for qualifying professionals who work in hotels, restaurant services, travel agents, car rental companies and airlines.
Therefore, the Ministry of Tourism will offer open distance learning courses in English and Spanish to 80 thousand professionals, such as waiters, taxi drivers, handcraft artists, receptionists, telephone operators, people who work in stands, drivers and guides. The “Hello Tourist” project has trained 155 employees of the Brazilian Airport Infrastructure Company (INFRAERO).
At the same time, INFRAERO developed the “English and Spanish for Airport Purposes” Project, aimed at employees who render services to foreign passengers and who work at airports in host cities.
