The best player of the tournament will be decided by journalists on the FIFA website

FIFA published the list of finalists of the Golden Ball award of the Confederations Cup 2013. There are two Brazilians among the candidates: forward Neymar and midfielder Paulinho. The other candidates are Spain’s defender Sergio Ramos and midfielder Andrés Iniesta, Pirlo from Italy and Uruguayan forward Luis Suárez.

Journalists vote on who they think was best. They vote on the three best players and a score is given for each position (1st - five points, 2nd - three points, 3rd - one point). The player with the highest score wins the award. Votes may be forwarded or changed until the end of normal time or extra-time in the final, between Brazil and Spain, scheduled for this Sunday (30.06) at the Maracanã in Rio de Janeiro.

FIFA will announce the winners of all Confederations Cup awards, including the Golden Ball, right after the end of the match.
