Application suggests to foreigners to invite friends to celebrate life and meet in Brazilian tourist destinations

After launching the new global campaign for the promotion of Brazil last week, EMBRATUR starts the first action for its Facebook campaign. Aimed at foreigners, the application helps the user to identify his/her friends who live the furthest away and invites them to meet in Brazil.

The goal is to publicise the new campaign through a promotional video, in addition to ads with images of Brazil, which are available on the application.

“The campaign’s slogan is ‘the World meets in Brazil. Come celebrate life’ and the application released on the social network will serve to increase the concept’s relevance and repercussion”, says EMBRATUR marketing director Walter Vasconcelos.  “When foreigners click on ‘invite’, an album will be created on their timeline, which will display images and the distances between them and their friends, who in turn will be tagged and warned, and will be able to find other friends who live far away and invite them to meet in Brazil", explained Vasconcelos.

Since March, there is a channel for the promotion of Brazilian tourist destinations available for foreign tourists on YouTube. Developed in partnership with Google, the brand channel Visit Brazil assists foreign tourists in the planning of their trips to the country in an interactive way with images, videos and detailed information about what to do in Brazil.

When accessing the page, the tourist answers four questions: when they will visit Brazil, for how many days, with whom and for what purpose (shopping, fun, sport, beach, nature and culture). From then on, the tool offers a list of destinations and interacts with the user.
